The admin screen has a lot of extraneous example code in it (based upon my work in extending The Undersigned's WordPress theme options) and thus needs a lot of work in functions.php.

Needed alterations:

  1. Remove extraneous "Number of Columns", "Del.icio.us Username", "Archives Page Style"
  2. Add code to handle checkboxes
  3. Add a "Use Custom Header" checkbox

There's a lot of excess, unnecessary formatting in the main CSS code which bloats the total size. This has become extremely obvious in the course of making aditional customizable stylesheets.

There's a lot of hit counter and suchlike code scattered about the codebase. I need to remove it in order to allow for widespread use of the theme on other people's blogs.

Since bbPress is gaining momentum in the forum world and since it plays so nicely with WordPress, I ought to code up some basic themes to alter bbPress as well.
